Begining with my part,
Uhm,
I want to ask you a question:
Have you ever crushed
on somebody? [Raise your hand!]
Have you ever ask yourself “What is love?”, “What does it mean to
you?”. I would say that love is a very special and meaningful word to each
human being. There is one thing we can’t deny that love is the greatest gift
that humans can ever hope to give or receive. Because of that, Valentine’s Day
is the chance for people to show their love to each other.
Valentine's
Day- is also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine.
Originating as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints
named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural,
religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many
regions around the world.
Now we move on to Phung’s part. Next, Phung, please!

PART 2: SOME
INFORMATION
Valentine's Day, also called Saint
Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine,
is celebrated annually on February 14.
It is named after Saint Valentine-
one of the first Christian martyrs - and also the day the whole world honors
the love of couples and affection between couples. People, and friends of the
opposite sex, they express their love by sending each other Valentine cards,
roses, chocolate and some other special gifts. Previously Valentine's Day
(currently February 14 every year) was a holiday only in North America and Europe, but today it is popular in most
countries. According to Eastern
culture (China, Japan and neighboring countries) is a feast of love celebrated
on the day of the passed away (July 7
of the lunar calendar).
There is a lot of information about the origins of this holiday, the
hypothesis that most people accept is:
Valentine was a priest under Roman Emperor
Claudius II. At that time, the third century, the Roman Empire had to
participate in many bloody wars and unpopular. Due to the difficulty of calling
young men to join the army, Claudius II argued that the main reason was that Roman men did not want to leave their
families or lovers and that marriage only weakened the man. soft; therefore,
Claudius II ordered a ban on the organization of weddings or engagement
ceremonies to focus on battles.
Father Valentine in Rome, along with St. Marius, resisted the decree of the mighty emperor and
continued to celebrate the wedding ceremony for young couples in secret. When
discovered, Father Valentine was arrested
and sentenced to death by means of drag and stoned to death. The
afternoon before he left the court, he sent his first "Valentine card" to the daughter of the jailer Asterius,
the blind young girl who had been healed by him miraculously before, and signed
"dal vostro Valentino "-
from your Valentine (" From My Valentine "). Until now,
couples still have the tradition of signing with the phrase "From your
Valentine" of the old days instead of their names in Valentine cards.
Gradually, February 14 became the exchange of messages of love and St.
